Brand Building Relies On Logos

Logos Are An Easily Recognizable Aspect of the Industry One of the most well known logos is the golden arches of McDonalds. Even as early as in our childhood we start recognizing various company logos. As one mother has stated, when her son was only three years old he was able to tell the brand of a truck by the logo on it as it came down the road. The mother's father, on the other hand, likes a differing brand of truck and sports that logo on his clothing and home furnishings. Large corporations aren't the only companies that can benefit from brand recognition on the market. Small businesses can use their company's logo to remind consumers of their brand. Be sure that logo is on your business sign, the side of your vehicle, in your ad with your local telephone directory, on bags, coupons, business cards, stationary, and always on your website.

Effective logos do not happen by chance. They have to be carefully thought out. References on the Internet go into a few simple errors as far as logos are concerned. One is creating your own logo using clip-art. The majority of people have reached the stage in which we recognize some common clip art designs. You should be especially careful to avoid using any art that would make someone think of another company. This gave the impression that the company did not put forth any effort in designing their logo.

Avoid using text only logos, you may lose your customer's attention if they are forced to read something through. You want your logo to be unforgettable, but to use just text, possibly a few monograms, isn't eye catching therefore people won't remember it easily. Although a handful of companies have managed to associate themselves with a text logo, it can be tricky to do it correctly. For more information on design check out freelance logo design graphic.

On the other hand, you should be very careful not to make your logo terribly complex. You should keep your design simple and avoid photos and special effects. The basic color that you should begin with is a black and white model. Often a black and white logo is preferable when used in the yellow pages or in a newspaper ad. Whether you know it or not, your logo will get faxed and copied. Your logo, even in full color, will need to look good in black and white because the fax machine will automatically convert it.

Great logos are usually created and developed by a professional, but this should not disappoint you in your quest of a memorable log. A well designed logo that receives the proper publicity has the potential to become a part of the popular culture and recognized by millions of people. This logo, which still meets all of the recommended curriculum, is easy, enjoyable and easy to remember. Whether green and red or black and white, it was a great logo.

The team was very fortunate to have included a graphic designer as part of the organization. If you are luckily enough to a friend who is also a graphic designer, consider it a blessing! When designing the logo, though, a search for a graphic designer may be in order. It should be very easy to find a designer. If you don't believe me, just try Googling the word logo and you are sure to have thousands of hits.

One columnist from a website suggests that you do not simply choose the first or second companies whose names come up in a search list. You should consider price and satisfaction with the portfolios that you evaluate and it is usually wise to choose 4 or 5 candidates when you are going through the process of selecting the designer. Consider file formats, revision allowances, refund policy, technical support and customer service as some of the criteria that you review when making your selection.

I always recommend employing local artists whenever you can, and several graphic designers and advertising consultants have listings in the locality. No matter who you decide to hire for designing your logo, remember that this is an investment you will make. A bad investment might have prospective clients thinking that you might have selected a better design, which looks bad for your enterprise. A solid investment, conversely, should yield up a well designed logo which is not easy to forget and produces a picture of you and your firm which is in line with your company's goals.

I'm getting a standard poodle this spring and want to clip him myself but I have a couple of questions?

I want to keep my dog in a full body buzz cut so I don't need to worry about shaping anything.

How do I shave the face?

How do I keep it short around the anus and penis while being sure I wont cut him?

Miki:

Thanks for being specific about what you want. Have you ever used dog clippers before? They make the process very easy. Simply lay the clipper against the dog's cost and clip in the direction the hair grows. This is the same for the face. I'm going to assume buzz cut means short. I had never clipped a poodle before, and do what a groomer told me to do. I'm very happy with my results.

I use a single speed Oster A5 clipper, a #10 and a # 3 blade for all my grooming. The clipper brand isn't terribly important. You should get a clipper that fits in your hand. I use a single speed, because if the switch breaks I end up with a single speed anyway. I use #3 over the entire body, and use the #10 on the face, neck, feet, belly, penis, and around the anus. Some people use a #40 in place of a #10. There is always a chance of a hot spot with a 40, but a #10 is less likely if you cut with the direction that the hair grows.

First, wash and dry the dog. I then run the #3 over the entire body and tail the direction the hair grows. I use the #10 on the muzzle and face and under the ear leathers. Cut along the neck, but pull the skin of the neck so it is smooth as clip over it. The natural skin folds in the neck must be pulled flat as you run the clipper over it. You'll preserve the top knot if you don't clip higher then the eyes. From the rear corner of the eye, clip horizontally to the front edge of the ear.

Use the 10 over the feet and between the toes. From the lowest rib to the scrotum I use the 10, and also use the 10 around the anus. Always cut with the direction of the hair to avoid hot spots.

The top knot is also very easy, but I'm reluctant to make this post longer than it is already. I you email me, I'll give more specifics.

A Oster A5 and the 2 blades aren't cheap, but after clipping your dog twice, you will have recouped your investment when you consider the cost of a local groomer. What you are asking to do is quite easy, and something I typically do to my own dog.

While there are other finer points we can talk about, these are the highlights. Good luck, and it isn't hard to do.
