I need to calculate the outlet pressure in my pressure vessel. I have 350 gallons of water in a 500 gallon tank. I then pressurize the tank with 150 psi of air. My outlet valve is a 1/2" stainless ball valve. What would the pressure be on the valve? Would it be 150psi times the 200 square inches of water surface?
The pressure is going to be 150 psi plus the depth of the water at the valve in inches times .036. For example, if the valve is 10 inches deep, the pressure would be 150.36 psi.
