I'm in 10th grade Chemistry Honors. I need to make a procedure on how to measure the mass and the volume of a rubber stopper by WATER DISPLACEMENT. Everywhere I look tells me different things about the mass and volume. I'm so confused! Please CLARIFY.

OK you should get the density from your teacher, if not he'll let you measure the mass. first fill a test tube about half way the place the rubber thingy in it then it should give you volume. Ex lets say after you fill the tube thingy with water and its 50.6ml then after you put the rubber stopper in it its 56.9ml then you know the volume of the rubber thingy is 6.3cm^3(1ml=1cm^3) thanks to displacment of the water.
if the tool to measure mass is not given then use this formula( your going to need density for this formula) D=M/V but since were trying to solve for mass we have to rearrange this formula to D/V=M
then just plug it in:D BUT DON'T FORGET THE UNITS!:D
