Looking For A Lab Bench?
If you are in the market for a lab bench, there are several things to consider being that this particular piece of lab furniture will potentially be holding beakers and flasks full of potentially corrosive chemicals such as acids and bases.
First and foremost, a lab bench would have to be stable. This would entail sturdy metal construction made from heavy gauge steel that is thick enough to give the bench some weight. It is not uncommon for people standing by a table to lean on it causing it to move or rock back and forth. A heavy gauge steel lab bench that has the legs bolted to it as opposed to a wooden table nailed together will be sturdy and stable enough to maintain it's position when being leaned on. This will help prevent it from rocking and potentially spilling flasks or beakers containing corrosive chemicals.
Secondly, a lab bench would have adjustable feet so that it could be leveled properly. In addition to being sturdy, the bench would have to be level to prevent stands from containing glassware from leaning. If you have ever been in a lab before, you know that stands can suspend glassware fairly high above the table and a leaning table is bad news in this case. Adjustable feet will allow you to level the table making up for any deficiencies in the flooring.
Thirdly, a lab bench would be strong enough to hold thousands of pounds of weight. Again, a sturdy steel frame would be essential in this regard. If you are familiar with the world of analytical chemistry, you know that much of the analytical instrumentation is quite heavy. Additionally, a lab bench may be called on to support heavy carboys full of various types of solutions. In these cases, a sturdy lab bench is necessary.
Finally, a quality lab bench would require a corrosion resistant power coating on it that would preserve the steel construction in the case of spills. For individuals working in a lab, spills are an inevitable truth. Depending on the strength of the solutions being worked with, metal can quickly be corroded in a short time if not washed properly. In this case, a strong chemical resistant powder coating will help protect it from being quickly corroded until it can be cleaned properly.

Tips For Guys Preparing To Dorm
There is, perhaps, no substitute for living in university dorms if a student wants to get the most out of college life. Even if the situation is slightly cramped, people bond together in university housing. The friends people make in college can last a lifetime. There's no reason, however, that dorm life can't be made slightly easier with a few suggestions.
Being prepared for schoolwork and life in university housing is very important, but that's no excuse to bring far too much. Overpacking is a college newbie mistake and usually looks quite foolish. Sure, it's crucial to bring essential elements like clothing (including everyday attire, sleepwear, etc.) or bathroom materials like toothbrushes, towels, and shampoo.
For accessories, a guy's wristwatch is an easy way to stand out. Most people use their cell phones as a swiss army knife in terms of checking the time, setting alarm clocks, using a stopwatch, and a lot of other things. Therefore, the simple addition of something like a men's sport watch separates you almost immediately from the typical crowd of cellphone addicts.
One clothing item that can also help you stand out is a few pairs of quality jeans, or even skinny jeans. Even though they're an iconic element of the much derided hipster style, they will get you noticed. The style isn't quite common enough on most campuses to be cliche, so if you have a body type that fits the style, go for it while they're available.
Every college student needs a computer for writing papers, communicating with friends, and a lot of other uses. There's almost no campus-provided substitute for a personal computer or laptop unless the university provides a computer to each individual student, as I have read that some do. However, with the right time management it's usually possible to get away with not having a printer in the dorm room.
Not worrying about a printer can save a lot of money on ink and paper, but it can also save desktop space. If printing can be done ahead of time and there are university libraries and labs available, get the printing done there instead. Send the files to yourself as email attachments, transport them on a usb flash drive, or upload them to a remote drive. Obviously this process will take more time than printing at the dorm room, so procrastinators beware!
To keep a student sane on campus, there's going to be some necessary downtime, but that doesn't mean it has to be completely wasteful. For instance, a student could bring along a musical instrument, board games, or anything else that brings them together with their peers.
why will my lab not stand up for himself when other even sumtimes smaller dogs snap n try to attack him?
11 month black lab (not neutered- cood be the reason why alot of dogs are this way with him) the only thing heez ever shown any kind of aggression/toughness to is when playing with me, so worried he is kinda a wimp for not defendin himself, definetly not dominant anyway plus a always let him win tug o war n do watever he wants kinda n heez still like this!
not a wimp ; just a better natured dog; attacking aggression comes from a fearful dog; you think that they are big and strong but in fact they are more afraid and fearful and that is why they lash out; your dog is better grounded and not acting out of fear which in my opinion is better. A fearful dog is unpredictable; even to its owner
Study Tests Best Writing Instruments for Lab Data (MAKE Magazine)
Following an accident that damaged some of his written lab notes, biologist
and photographer Colin Purrington undertook to choose his next laboratory
writing instrument more scientifically. The test set included 20 pens and 1
pencil. As a brand, the Japanese-made Sakura Gelly Roll pens, like those shown
here, stand out for fade- and bleed-resistance under the tested conditions.
