Surgical Instruments for a successful surgery
These surgical instruments are never general instruments. They have their specific uses and purposes. And using these instruments correctly will prevent any damage to the patient.

The tissues are being pulled back so that the surgeon can perform the surgery and have an access to the site of the operation easily without any hindrance. And through a retractor, you can easily achieve that. Even organs are held back by the retractors for the site of the surgery can be exposed. They are available in different shapes and sizes, and types that are designed to work with a specific organ.
" Forceps. They look like your kitchen tongs. They are used by the surgeons to firmly hold and grasp tissues. It's not only the tissues that the forceps hold; they can also hold a part of the intestines, or the arteries during the surgery. Like other surgical instruments, forceps are available in different sizes. Their sizes depend on the needs of the surgeons on a certain procedure. For example, forceps that are used to hold the baby's head during birth is large enough to accommodate its purpose.
" Scissors. This instrument is used to cut tissues of the body. There are two types of scissors in surgery. They are Metzenbaum and Mayo scissors. Metzenbaum scissors are used when the surgeon is to cut or dissect the tissues that are soft and delicate. Mayo scisoors, on the other hand, are used when cutting tissues that are hard, like joints. Mayo scissors are also used when you cut thick tissues that are located in the breasts and muscles. These scissors are stainless steels and are available in different lengths.
For the procedures of surgery to be done correctly, a surgeon must use the proper and correct surgical instruments for the procedure. The surgery will never be complete without these instruments. They must be used only to their proper function, or else, the procedure will never be done correctly. CEREBRAL PALSY
It is a non progressive neuromuscular disorder causing mild to severe disabilities throughout life.This condition is manifested as a group of persisting qualitative motor disorders which appear in young children due to damage to the brain during delivery or due to some pathological conditions in the intrauterine life.The neuroligical problems are multiple but non progressive in nature.Approximately 2 per 100 live birth is having this problem.This disease is having no hereditary tendency.
Causes of cerebral palsy:
(1) Injury to the brain during delivery.
(2) As a complication of forceps delivery.
(3) Lack of oxygen supply to the baby during delivery.
(4) Infections during delivery.
Signs and symptoms of cerebral palsy:--
The signs and symptoms may not be similar in all babies affected.Depending upon the damage to the brain there may be mild to severe lesions.ild cases:- 20% children will have mild disability. Moderate cases:-50% cases are having moderate disability.The affected children require self help for assisting their impaired ambulation capacity.Severe cases:-About 30% of the affected children are totally incapacited and bedridden and they allways need care from others.Abnormal findings in cerebral palsy:-
1,Abnormal neonatal reflexes.2,Stiffness of all muscles with awkward motion. 3,Extention of extremities on vertical suspension of the infant.4,Scissoring of the lower limbs due to spasm of the adductor muscles of the thigh.5,In severe cases the back bend backwards like and arch.6,May have total or partial paralysis.7,Arrest of neurological and behavioral developement. 8,Swallowing may be difficult in some cases.9,Drooling of saliva. 10,Mild to severe mental retardations.
This includes proper nutrition and personal care.Symptomatic medicines are needed to reduce convulsions and muscle stiffness. Diazepam can reduce spasticity and athetosis.
Dantrolene sodium helps to relax skeletal muscles.
Rehabilitation:
Moral and social support should be given to these children.They should be send to special schools where special training can be given by trained staff.Mentally retarded children need special training.Depending up on the disabitity special instruments and machines are given for locomotion and to assist their daytoday activities.
Occupational therapy:
This is given by occupational therapists.They train the disabled people to do some suitable works so that these people can have their own income.

i dont have children, but according to what my mother told me when she delivered me and she always wishes this to every woman, she was speaking with the doctor, joking, and she didnt feel anything, no pain, anything.
She told me 2 other events also.
One woman was delivering her 3rd child and she was a girl.The origine of her husband was from Mani a place in Peloponese in Greece, where the men are very macho.So, she was crying and scared to go back home, becuse her husband told her''if you deliver a girl(in that time u/s was not existing to find out the sex of the baby) dont come at home.It was a shame for him
The other event was that a woman diodnt want to see her husband because she had so much pain, and she was considering him responsible for being pregnant...
The doctors were laughing doing sarcastic comments that i dont want to mention here.
These events have nothing to do with the question so much...but once upon a time...there were true events during deliveries, and mentalities.
Personally, i dont care about a delivery how it would be, the only thing is that i couldnt afford having the husband near me suffering also so much for me...it would be sad for me
